Kelley Franco has been practicing litigation since 1995, primarily in the areas of probate, personal injury, products liability, and construction. Ms. Franco has successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials to conclusion in state and probate courts.
Ms. Franco's litigation experience covers a wide range of matters, including:
- Counsel in contested probate matters such as wills and trusts
- Connecticut counsel for New Jersey surety firm on several cases involving claims on bonds and inquiry by Connecticut Insurance Department
- Real estate litigation including easements, restrictive covenants, water damage and title claims
- Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act litigation Personal Injury matters resulting from motor vehicle and premises liability
- Connecticut counsel for national companies who are defendants in products liability matters involving asbestos and latex gloves
Prior to starting her own practice, Ms. Franco worked at firms in Paris, New York and Connecticut. In Paris, she worked at Mandel, Ngo et Associés, a French firm located in the Eighth Arrondissement. In New York she worked at Roberts, Sheridan & Kotel, a spinoff of Cravath Swaine & Moore. After moving to Connecticut, Ms. Franco practiced at Robinson & Cole and Ryan Ryan Johnson and Deluca, where she did extensive trial work.
In her spare time, Ms. Franco runs marathons and lectures on baseball. For two years she was a regular guest on CNN Financial to discuss her views on baseball and she has been a guest lecturer at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. Ms. Franco resides in Rowayton with her husband and her Hungarian Vizsla.
